night at the brewseum

By the mid-1800s, dozens of breweries had sprung up around the city of St. Louis, taking advantage of the underground cave formations as a place to ferment their lagers in a cool environment. During this same period, the Missouri Historical Society was founded to preserve the history of the city and the state. Since then, the St. Louis beer scene has flourished, and now MHS shares that history at the Missouri History Museum, the Library and Research Center, and the soon-to-open Soldiers Memorial Military Museum.
